Costain is hosting a free event to help prospective supply chain participants gain a foothold on future projects in the north

With representatives from across the business, the event in Cumbria on Wednesday 12 July, Working with Costain, promises to give organisations in the region all the information they need to get involved with Costain and seek out potential work opportunities.

The benefits for local companies are twofold; companies will gain greater visibility of future work opportunities in the region and by meeting the Costain project teams, the organisations will gain a valuable insight into how Costain works and what it is looking for from its supply chain.

Richard Howell, Group Head of Supply Chain at Costain and the organiser of the event:

“Our supply chain is fundamental to the success of Costain. It is therefore vital that we develop relationships that align with Costain’s strategy in order to help drive the business forward. We need to nurture these relationships and draw on the local expertise and innovation that is out there.”

This event gives potential contractors an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities and grab the attention of the project teams delivering influential schemes in the region. There are a number of exciting opportunities in the Costain pipeline and it is keen to engage the supply chain in the region.

As well as hearing presentations, contractors will have the opportunity to meet project managers and representatives.

Attendees will have the opportunity to build relationships with Costain across various sectors and will be provided with tools to push their business forward either through its Supply Chain Academy, or through sharing its own initiatives with them.
