Come celebrate the Joint European Torus' many achievements at the 'JET Celebration Day' in February 2024!

The Joint European Torus (JET) is a remarkable facility that has achieved remarkable things. Fusion would not be at the stage it is today without JET but, as you may know, it will cease operations at the end of 2023, after over 40 years of service to the industry.

If you have worked for the various organisations that have been involved with JET, ranging from the Joint Undertaking to EUROfusion, that have played a significant role in advancing fusion development through JET, we cordially invite you to ‘Save the Date’ in your calendar and join us in celebrating JET’s many achievements at Culham Campus (Culham Science Centre) on 28th February 2024.

The event will include speeches from dignitaries and members who worked at JET. There will be group tours, a photography exhibition, official group photographs in the torus hall and refreshments. There will also be time to spend catching up with old colleagues and friends. Further details will be shared in due course but at this time we are gauging numbers and interest. The JET diaspora extends far and wide, so we kindly request you share this with any ex-colleagues who spent time working on JET.

We anticipate a high turnout and have a limit on the number of attendees for this event. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but only individuals who have served on JET will be accommodated. Additionally, entry at the gatehouse will be restricted to pre-registered attendees only.
