Serac Life Sciences, the parent company of molecular imaging businesses Serac Healthcare Ltd and Serac Imaging Systems Ltd, announce that their Scientific Advisor, Professor Alan Perkins, has been awarded a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours in recognition of his outstanding services to patient care and clinical science.
This prestigious honour reflects Professor Perkins’ exceptional contribution throughout his career advancing clinical research, improving patient outcomes, and shaping best practices in nuclear medicine.

In addition to his advisory role at Serac Imaging Systems and Serac Healthcare, Alan is an honorary fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, Emeritus Professor of Medical Physics in Radiological Sciences at the University of Nottingham School of Medicine and past President of the British Nuclear Medicine Society. He is also one of the original inventors of Serac Imaging Systems’ hybrid gamma-optical camera, Seracam®.
