Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear Division announced today that it has signed a teaming agreement with Createc, a U.K.-based company specializing in robotics, sensors, and imaging systems.
Per the agreement, Curtiss-Wright will act as a sales channel for Createc’s products and services to the domestic commercial nuclear fleet, U.S. Department of Energy, U.S. Department of Defense, the National Laboratories, and advanced reactor companies for North America customers.
Kurt Mitchell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear Division, said:
“This partnership will increase Curtiss-Wright’s ability to help our customers improve worker safety and reduce radiation dosage through real-time data acquisition robotics and software modeling. Createc’s innovation-driven solutions are simple to use and quick to deploy technologies that improve operational efficiency.”
Curtiss-Wright is a leading supplier to the nuclear power industry, with products installed in every nuclear plant in North America and a growing presence supporting global new reactor construction. The company’s portfolio includes mobile unmanned systems (MUS)—including drones, robotics, and submersibles—which play a critical role in industrial and defense applications by automating operations and eliminating the need for humans to perform tasks in hazardous conditions.
Neil Owen, Createc’s U.S. Business Lead, said:
“Createc is a technology development company with a successful track record of working with third parties who can leverage its technologies by providing a service in the market. Curtiss-Wright is the ideal partner to build on our decades of experience of the civil nuclear industry with exploitation of the latest technologies in sensors, applied imaging, and robotics.”
