Following the success of last year’s Canada–UK Nuclear Day, we’re pleased to share that the event will return in September 2025, once again at Canada House in London.

Powering the Future: Canada–UK Collaboration for a Resilient Nuclear Ecosystem

As global momentum builds for nuclear energy, Canada and the United Kingdom are advancing concrete solutions across borders and sectors. Canada-UK Nuclear Day 2025 brings together leaders from industry, government, and academia on both sides of the Atlantic to accelerate collaboration, strengthen supply chains, and build a skilled workforce equipped for the next generation of nuclear technology — from fission to fusion. The event offers a practical forum for advancing shared ambitions through partnerships, policy alignment, and innovation.

Event Outline

The Canada-UK Chamber of Commerce is organizing a Canada–UK Nuclear Day this fall, scheduled to coincide with the World Nuclear Symposium in London.

The event will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, September 3rd at Canada House, Trafalgar Square, London SW1Y 5BJ. The programme will begin with a light lunch/coffee/tea and registration at 12:00pm, followed by opening remarks from the High Commissioner of Canada and a UK Minister of Energy (invited). The agenda includes three panel discussions — including a Provincial Energy Ministers Panel — as well as presentations highlighting advancements in fusion and opportunities for collaboration between Canada and the UK. The day will conclude with a networking reception at 4:30pm.

We expect 100+ attendees, including representatives from Canadian and UK nuclear businesses, government officials, the Canadian Nuclear Association, the UK Nuclear Industry Association, and academic institutions active in the nuclear sector.

In addition, the British High Commission in Ottawa is planning to bring a business delegation of Canadian companies to London for the World Nuclear Symposium and will also attend Canada–UK Nuclear Day.
