Assystem is delighted to invite Welsh businesses, industry representatives, and stakeholders from the public and private sectors to participate in a focused workshop exploring how Welsh companies can maximise the significant opportunities emerging from the UK's new nuclear programme with a focus on North Wales.

With major projects progressing across the UK, including the proposed Rolls-Royce SMR development on Ynys Môn, Sizewell C, and other new nuclear initiatives in England, there has never been a more important time for Welsh engineering firms, businesses, and industry to position themselves at the forefront of this growing sector.

This workshop will bring together businesses and key stakeholders to discuss:

  • The capabilities Welsh companies can offer to support nuclear new build projects
  • Opportunities arising from the proposed Rolls-Royce SMR deployment on Ynys Môn
  • The incentives that local and regional firms might like to see from the nuclear sector to support with the transition into nuclear
  • How Welsh organisations can engage with and partner across the emerging Northern Nuclear Arc
  • Supply chain opportunities linked to Sizewell C and other new nuclear developments across England
  • Skills, capability development, and investment requirements needed to secure future contracts
  • Actions that industry, government, and the wider nuclear ecosystem can take to ensure Wales captures maximum economic value from the nuclear renaissance.

The workshop is designed to identify the support, partnerships, information, and opportunities companies need to enter or expand within the nuclear sector.

Importantly, we want to hear directly from Welsh businesses.

The outputs from the session will help shape future engagement activities and strengthen the case for Welsh participation across the UK’s growing nuclear programme.

Following the workshop, attendees are invited to stay for a networking lunch from 12:45 to 14:00 sponsored by Assystem.

Places are limited to 35 participants and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
