With increasing pressure on governments, business, and industry to address the impact of climate change and to meet the commitments of the Paris Agreement as well as country-specific targets and legislation, there is growing recognition of the importance of nuclear energy as a key component of any carbon emissions reduction strategy.

This is translating into policy changes, increased development of new nuclear power technology (advanced modular reactors, small modular reactors, and fusion reactors) and plans for construction of new nuclear power stations based on developments of existing technology. In line with this, there is an increasing recognition of the need to responsibly dispose of our existing nuclear legacy as well as the need to develop a sustainable lifecycle for future nuclear assets and the waste that they produce.

Businesses are already seeing increased prospects and revenues as a result of the increased investment in technology development, infrastructure new-build/upgrade, and environmental clean-up, which all support the expectation of continued and significant growth in the nuclear market.

Join us as we discuss the importance of the anticipated new round of investment in nuclear power generation and development of new nuclear technologies – and seek to answer why it is so important to act now for energy security, energy prices, and positive social outcomes for businesses and local communities.
