Reacting to the appointment of John Fingleton to lead the Prime Minister’s Nuclear Regulatory Taskforce (link), Tom Greatrex, Chief Executive of the Nuclear Industry Association, said:

The Prime Minister is absolutely right that we can streamline nuclear regulations to cut times and costs by avoiding unnecessary stumbling blocks, freeing up more sites for nuclear development and making sure regulations are proportionate to our urgent need for clean, reliable and price predictable power.
