We are heading to Coventry for our Fusion Group in November and a tour of our host facility Manufacturing Technology Centre!
Security policy at MTC
Due to the State threat defined by the United Kingdom Government, Contractors, Members or Visitors who are identified as originating from a Tier 1 Restricted Country will not be permitted entry into the MTC. This includes the NIA Meeting and the tour.
The current list of Tier 1 Restricted Countries is:
- Belarus
- China – which includes Hong Kong, Macau, and Tibet
- Iran
- North Korea
- Russia
- Syria
- Ukraine
- Tiawan (Close links to China, application on a case-by-case basis)
The Meeting
This Fusion meeting will focus on ‘Good News from Industry’ as we round up some of the best stories from the fusion sector this year. Do you have a good news story to tell? The Tour
If you are attending the tour, please ensure to bring your passport with you as you will not be able to participate without it!
Thank you to member company MTC for hosting us for this meeting and offering tours of their workshop after lunch. The tour will include the chance to see the work that the MTC has done in fusion materials, such as HIP diffusion bonding of Tungsten to Copper Chrome Zirconium and the addition of cooling structures to tungsten samples. The tour will also include other areas of interest including, additive manufacturing, laser welding and surface modification, the robotics and automation demonstrators and the metrology lab.

Payment: Invoices will be sent out from Sandra Evenden and will need to be paid online by Tuesday 11 November. Invoices not paid by the deadline will see the delegate removed from the dinner list. Pre-orders must be sent one week prior, hence the deadline.
