The NIA is inviting senior leaders and practitioners from across the energy sector to contribute to an industry‑wide survey organised by PA Consulting exploring how greater collaboration is needed to enable nuclear to succeed within a more connected energy system

Role of Nuclear in Future UK Energy Survey 2026

As the UK transitions towards Net Zero, closer integration across electricity, hydrogen and heat will be essential. This research seeks to capture industry perspectives on how nuclear can better support a resilient, multi‑vector energy system, and what changes are required across policy, markets and partnerships to unlock this potential.

The survey findings, combined with wider industry analysis and research, will inform a data‑driven thought leadership report examining the future of the energy system. The report will identify key challenges, opportunities and practical recommendations to support investment, market design and sector collaboration. The final report will be available to you in Q2.

The survey is conducted by an independent research firm, with responses treated in confidence and reported in aggregated form. We are also seeking to speak with a small number of industry experts to explore perspectives in more depth and to help shape the narrative of the report. Any contributions can be fully anonymised if preferred.

If you would be willing to take part in a short interview, please contact [email protected].

Thank you for contributing your insight to this important piece of industry research. Your participation will help shape a clearer blueprint for how the energy sector can work together to deliver a more integrated, resilient and nuclear‑enabled energy system.
