Join the joint seminar between the Brazilian Association for the Development of Nuclear Activities (ABDAN) and the Nuclear Industry Association (NIA).
The seminar aims to bring together the Brazilian and UK nuclear industries to explore current business opportunities, strengthen partnerships, and expand collaboration in Brazil’s growing nuclear sector.
Brazil’s nuclear sector is currently experiencing a strategic moment of expansion, driven by the country’s goals for decarbonization, energy security, industrial development, and technological sovereignty.
The National Energy Plan (PNE 2050) and the Ten-Year Energy Expansion Plan (PDE) establish nuclear energy as a key pillar of Brazil’s energy transition, projecting the expansion of installed nuclear capacity to approximately 14 GW by 2050. In addition to the completion of Angra 3, Brazil is advancing several innovative initiatives involving Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), microreactors, uranium mining, nuclear fuel production, nuclear medicine, and advanced nuclear technologies.
This evolving landscape is creating a highly favourable environment for investments, international partnerships, and greater private sector participation across the entire nuclear value chain.
During the seminar, participants will explore the main business opportunities currently emerging within the Brazilian nuclear sector, covering strategic areas such as nuclear generation, uranium mining and processing, nuclear fuel cycle development, SMRs and microreactors and radioactive waste management.
The seminar will provide a unique platform for companies, institutions, and industry leaders to discuss current trends, investment opportunities, and the future growth of the nuclear market in Brazil.
