The National Skills Academy for Nuclear (NSAN) has announced the appointment of Sean Murphy as its new Strategic Membership and Business Development Manager, with Rachel Chorlton joining the organisation’s Client Relationship team.

The appointments will strengthen support for NSAN member companies, helping employers access the insight, connections and practical workforce solutions needed to respond to growing demand across the nuclear sector.
Sean, who has served as an NSAN Client Relationship Manager since 2024, brings extensive experience in skills, supply chain development and business support. In his new role, he will build strategic relationships with member companies and identify opportunities to address workforce challenges.
Sean has over 20 years’ experience in manufacturing, predominantly in nuclear and safety-related industries, he understands the pressures facing member companies and the importance of employer-led support that delivers tangible value.
Rachel Chorlton joins NSAN’s Client Relationship team, taking on Sean’s previous area of focus and providing dedicated day-to-day support to members. She brings a strong background in client engagement, lifelong learning and inclusive education, with experience of working closely with organisations and learners to understand needs.
Rachel’s appointment will help members access NSAN’s networks, programmes and skills expertise effectively, ensuring they receive responsive support aligned to their business priorities.
