Date: 8-9 October 2024
Location: The QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE
The NIA are exhibiting at the British Tunnelling Society 2024 Conference and Exhibition (stand F44) on 8-9 October at the QEII Conference Centre, Westminster, London SW1P 3EE.
BTS 2024 is the largest gathering of tunnelling professionals in the UK and is an essential meeting point for everyone involved in the design, construction and operation/maintenance of today’s underground infrastructure.
Alongside the exhibition is a two-day conference with a focus on the future and will be shining the spotlight on innovative technologies, including the much-misunderstood sector of AI in tunnelling, the effect of underground construction on the environment and how to minimise its impacts, alongside the usual mix of projects and new developments that are pushing the limits of engineering.
With well over 20 presentations booked in, ranging from cutting edge TBM developments, sustainable tunnelling in the face of climate change, The David Wallis Lecture, site reports from HS2, Woodsmith Mine, Gothenburg and Stockholm, a complete session on contemporary tunnel lining solutions, and another session dedicated entirely to the small bore sector – which is looking increasingly like the UK’s next big market.
There are two options to register for BTS 2024:
- Visitor registration is free but only gives access to the exhibition hall. It does not give access to the conference speaker room or lunch/coffee.
- Delegate early bird rate is only £225.00 for BTS members and £275.00 for non-members (early birds end September 21). This option will give you access to the conference speaker room, the exhibition hall, lunch and coffee provided on both days, and access to the BTS drinks reception on the Tuesday night from 6.30pm
