Nuclear Transport Solutions (NTS), the global leader in nuclear transport and logistics, has successfully completed its latest shipment of Mixed Oxide (MOX) fuel assemblies from France to Japan.
The shipment, carried by Pacific Nuclear Transport Ltd’s (PNTL) purpose-built vessels Pacific Heron and Pacific Egret, departed Cherbourg in France in early September and arrived safely at the Takahama Nuclear Power Station, in Japan, this week. The cargo contained MOX fuel assemblies destined for Units 3 and 4 at the plant.
This marks the ninth MOX transport completed by NTS during its anniversary year with PNTL celebrating 50 years of safe and secure nuclear transport operations.
The voyage was conducted in full compliance with all national and international regulations, with robust security measures in place throughout. Our purpose-built vessels are state-of-the-art and are manned by some of the most experienced nuclear mariners in the world.
