Welcoming Hinkley Point C’s latest Socio-Economic Report, Tom Greatrex, Chief Executive of the Nuclear Industry Association, said:
“It’s vital that Sizewell C gets to a Final Investment Decision so that it can deliver the transformative benefits we’re seeing at Hinkley Point C: Thousands of well-paid green jobs, billions of pounds in investment and a new generation of skilled workers helping to drive growth across the country.
“These stations are two of the most important clean energy projects in a generation, and they should mark the beginning of a full programme of new nuclear plants, both large and small, so that more people and businesses can benefit from these once in a lifetime opportunities.”
