ISO 19443:2018 is the internationally recognised quality management standard for organisations operating within the nuclear energy supply chain.

The certification recognises STRABAG UK’s ability to deliver products and services important to nuclear safety and reflects the company’s commitment to quality, safety and continual improvement across its operations.

Achieving ISO 19443 demonstrates that STRABAG UK’s leadership, people, equipment and processes are aligned with the stringent requirements of the nuclear sector. This includes ensuring leaders take decisions with nuclear safety in mind, supporting staff through appropriate training, verifying that equipment meets required standards through supplier inspections, and maintaining robust processes through internal surveillance.

Chris Parry, Head of Technical Quality & Assurance at STRABAG UK, said:

“Achieving certification to ISO 19443 by LRQA is the culmination of over a year’s effort by many people, and is recognition that STRABAG UK Ltd is a capable supplier for the delivery of nuclear infrastructure. We are pleased to be one of the first Tier 1 construction companies to achieve certification.”

The milestone further strengthens STRABAG UK’s position to support the delivery of current and future nuclear infrastructure projects across the UK & Europe.
