Following a successful tender submission, NUVIA is pleased to have been awarded a key contract as part of NRS’s SD4 (Scheme Design 4) programme at Trawsfynydd: Reactor Retrievals – Scheme Design 4 Main Retrievals and Processing Facilities.

The work will see NUVIA provide a solution for the safe dismantling, retrieval and processing of all reactor components internal to the Bioshield, for both reactors at the site.

This adds to the scope of works NUVIA has been delivering for long-standing client NRS over many years, which recently included the SD3 (Scheme Design 3) bio-shield break-in package at Trawsfynydd.

NUVIA’s extensive experience in developing and implementing bespoke nuclear decommissioning solutions will be invaluable in ensuring the timely and successful delivery of this work for NRS.

Kian Woodward, Managing Director for the Project, Engineering & Decommissioning business at NUVIA said

“We are delighted to have been awarded this SD4 contract and to have been chosen again by NRS to deliver such important work; which will see us continue our support of the wider decommissioning strategy taking place at Trawsfynydd. This really is testament to the hard work of our project teams and their commitment to consistently meeting the expectation of our clients. As always, we will take great pride in ensuring this work is delivered safely and efficiently.”
