Bradwell B moves forward, passing two new important milestones

The project to build a new nuclear power station at Bradwell B has passed two significant milestones with the award of an Electricity Generation Licence and the launch of a public consultation by the Environment Agency as part of the GDA process for the UK HPR1000 reactor.
On 16 December, Ofgem announced that it had awarded an electricity generation licence to Bradwell Power Generation Company Limited.

In addition, the Environment Agency has launched a public consultation on its preliminary conclusions following detailed assessment of the environmental aspects of the UK HPR1000 new nuclear power station design.
The consultation started on 11 January and will close at 1.45pm on 4 April 2021.
