The event will explore how to speed up the delivery of new nuclear projects while maintaining rigorous levels of nuclear safety, security, and environmental protection.

As part of the Alternative Routes to Market consultation, the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero is partnering with Policy Lab to deliver a Nuclear Hackathon.

The aim is to identify opportunities for greater regulatory co-ordination and how this may lead to efficiencies in navigating regulatory pathways. Ministers will bring together diverse opinions and the expertise of regulators, industry, and beyond to scope potential solutions.

The interactive event will be in London on Tuesday 9 April 2024. For further details on how to register your interest in attending, email [email protected] by Friday 22 March.

They will allocate places and confirm participation on or before 1 April 2024 and provide further details to invited participants. They will endeavour to contact everyone who expresses interest in attending, however if you do not hear back from the department, it may be because all places have been allocated due to the event being oversubscribed.
