The YGN International Team announced the opportunity of sponsorship for the proposed international trip in Finland which will be taking place in Q1 2025.
The NI YGN is looking to collaborate with a number of potential sponsors based on different tiers of funding. The full breakdown of the costs and info are available in the official proposal document which can be provided at request.
The proposed itinerary aims to provide a mix of technical presentations alongside site visits (Olkiluoto III and Onkalo GDF), technical meetings (Finnish Nuclear Supply Chain, Finnish Nuclear Regulator etc), cultural, political and social activities (Helsinki Parliament, UK Embassy etc) to contribute to the overall value added for the entire time.
Business development opportunities provided with this trip will involve the Finnish Nuclear market and discussions with stakeholders on topics about their waste management, outlook on SMR/AMRs deployment and various good practices which can be exchanged.
Being a sponsor of this international trip will offer publicity for their organisations as it will offer the opportunity to reach a group of young nuclear professionals from UK, the opportunity to promote the mission to the industry’s future leaders as well as supporting knowledge transfer across the global nuclear industry.
This trip will provide brand exposure in the nuclear industry through promotional material at the event and on social media also increase your exposure within the UK and Finnish Nuclear supply chain. In-event speaking presentations/opportunities are available during the first day that will help your brand equity in the industry and raise awareness for potential business opportunities.
This opportunity to visit Finland’s GDF will be unlike any opportunity that we could experience in the UK at this time. Consideration of the Geological Disposal Facility (GDF) is important for whole fuel cycle in the context of the waste legacy in UK. Industry stakeholders, local communities are at the heart of this process, and Finland are the world-leaders internationally for progress towards their GDF.
