The Big Bang Fair is returning for another year of exciting, interactive activities and STEM inspiration.

The Big Bang mission is to showcase surprising possibilities and connect young people to inspiring role models in STEM. The Big Bang Fair returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 21 to 23 June 2023. Over the 3 days, school groups will get the opportunity to hear first-hand from exciting scientists and engineers and connect with inspiring career role models.

New for 2023!

We’ve made some changes this year, so we can provide the best careers inspiration, advice and exciting opportunities to meet with real scientists and engineers.

Discover what’s new for 2023:

  • The Big Bang Fair will be open to schools in half-day sessions. Schools will be able to register for morning (9am to 12pm) or afternoon (1pm to 4pm) sessions
  • Schools will be able to book one group per session
  • Groups are limited to 75 in size (including adults)
  • The Fair will be open to groups from state-funded schools for young people in:
    • England and Wales: year 6 to year 8
    • Northern Ireland: year 7 to year 9
    • Scotland: P7 to S2

Independent specialist and SEND schools are also eligible to attend The Big Bang Fair.
