Following negotiations between NUVIA and Radwise, we are delighted to announce that the Health Physics contracts for several Magnox sites previously held by Radwise Limited, have been transferred to NUVIA along with 41 Radwise employees.

At the end of August, the 41 skilled staff from Radwise were transferred to NUVIA under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) to deliver contracts at a number of sites owned by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and operated by its Magnox subsidiary: Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A and Sizewell A.

“Magnox is a key account for NUVIA and we look forward to working at these new sites to further cement our relationship. Health Physics is a key business within NUVIA’s portfolio and the experienced, new colleagues TUPE’d from Radwise Limited will be a welcome addition to our capability enabling us to provide a greater service and offering to our customers.

Nuclear legacy restoration will require a skilled health physics resource both now and over the coming years.  NUVIA has and will continue to invest in and develop Health Physics professionals to meet this increasing demand. By working in partnership with our customers, we hope to inspire the next generation by creating visible and exciting career paths, that meet both national and international future needs.” Greg Antill, NUVIA Health Physics Business Manager.

Mike Parker, Managing Director of NUVIA’s Field Services business commented, “The NUVIA Group is the largest provider of radiological protection services in Europe, and we have been growing and developing our health physics offer around the world and in the UK.  The addition of these contracts furthers the development in the UK, and we welcome the new staff to the NUVIA Health Physics team.  Magnox are a key client, and we are working with them to secure the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority’s mission to clean-up the UK’s earliest nuclear sites safely, securely and cost effectively.“
