The Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Nuclear Fuel Fund (NFF) of up to £75m expects to open for applications in December this year.

The NFF aims to preserve the UK’s front-end nuclear fuel cycle capability, to support government’s ambition to increase civil nuclear deployment to up to 24GW by 2050.

To support the development of high-quality bids, BEIS in collaboration with the NIA, will be hosting a workshop on 7 December, 11am – 12.30pm. The workshop will cover fund design, timescales, explore opportunities to form consortia, and provide an early opportunity to ask questions before the bid window opens.

The workshop is intended for representatives from organisations across the nuclear fuel sector, including industry, academia and research organisations, who are considering bidding into the fund either alone or as part of a consortium.

BEIS welcome any questions you may have about the NFF in advance of the workshop. Please contact the team directly at [email protected].
