Call for ideas: Alternative ‘life support’ for decommissioning
06 February 2018
The Oil & Gas Technology Centre is looking outside its industry for solutions to a decommissioning challenge.
The ‘Call for Ideas’ seeks innovative concepts and ideas for how to power an asset and its utilities during decommissioning. An integrated, modular approach could significantly reduce costs and improve efficiency.
The Technology Centre has c.£1 million to invest in a portfolio of projects. This is a great opportunity to transfer your technology to a different industry and open up new markets.
More information is available through The Oil & Gas Technology Centre website:
Taking part is a simple process and only the outline of an idea at this stage, not a fully costed proposal.
The deadline for ideas is Friday 16 February.
Your idea must cover at least one of the following ‘life support’ elements:
power (with emissions control)
heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC)
fire and gas detection
