RACE has issued a £1.5M SBRI competition for interested suppliers to work with us on the LongOps programme.

There are five challenges which address key developmental areas in the digital field to support nuclear decommissioning at Sellafield and Fukushima. If you are interested, have relevant capability and would like to learn more about the competition scope we are hosting a supplier event on 28th March.

LongOps is a £12 million robotics research programme that brings together decommissioning use cases, including:

  • Legacy nuclear reactors in the UK at Sellafield
  • Fukushima Daiichi reactors in Japan

The LongOps programme is delivered by UKAEA’s RACE and equally funded by TEPCO, UKRI and the NDA.
