The UK Atomic Energy Authority invites interested supply chain partners to JET Decommissioning and Repurposing webinar.
For nearly 40 years, JET has delivered ground-breaking fusion research and innovation and will continue to do so through its remaining 2022 & 2023 test campaigns. At the end of 2023, JET will close operationally and will move into Decommissioning and Repurposing.
During the decommissioning phase, JET will continue contributing to fusion technology by helping to understand the full life cycle of a fusion power plant. This research and innovation will be used to help define the requirements for the safe and ethical delivery of Decommissioning and Repurposing in fusion plants of the future.
The JET Decommissioning and Repurposing programme is in the early stages of development and is currently moving forwards to an Outline Business Case (OBC) submission to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) in 2023.
