Located in the heart of the North West’s largest cluster of nuclear companies, the Nu-Tech Engineering & Technology Solutions Exhibition will offer suppliers an invaluable day of both networking and contact building opportunities between representatives from all levels of the nuclear supply chain from Tier 1s to SMEs.
North West England is home to one of the world’s largest concentrations of nuclear facilities, with a renowned skills base and world-class expertise in nuclear technology research and development clustering across the Region, which is in itself the home to 55% of the UK’s entire nuclear workforce.
The biggest independent nuclear event of its kind to be held on the Birchwood Park when first held in July 2017 and with over 150 different companies represented on the day, the Nu-Tech organised exhibition proved particularly useful for exhibitors looking to expand into the nuclear as well as providing a showcase for the transfer of technology and the launch of new and innovative ideas yet to achieve wide scale market exposure.
Offering considerable diversity, the 2018 exhibition will also be complemented by other key attractions including: external technology exhibits, live demonstrations, interactive sessions and technical presentations.
In recognition of its potential impact on the nuclear supply chain, we have again secured the support from several prestigious organisations including the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), the Nuclear Industry Association, the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (NAMRC), the TWI, the Nuclear Institute, the National Skills Academy (Nuclear), the NW Nuclear Forum and the Birchwood Forum.
The Engineering & Technology Solutions Exhibition will give both current and potentially new suppliers an opportunity to meet with Sellafield Ltd ‘end-users’ and their Tier 2 contract organisations in a convenient location within the Birchwood Business Park estate. It will enable companies wishing to demonstrate their products, services and capabilities to an audience actively seeking solutions to their ongoing and future needs; and will be achieved in a unique and dynamic environment.
NIA Decommissioning and Existing Generation group meeting is due to take place following the Nu-Tech Engineering & Technology Solutions Exhibition on Thursday 27 September at Birchwood Golf Club. The pay-your-own-way dinner will take place in the area on the Wednesday 26 September.
Enquiries now being taken from suppliers wishing to participate in this event.
