ADVANCED REACTOR SYSTEMS, BNFL
Tim Abram graduated in Mechanical Engineering from UMIST in 1987. Formerly head of LWR Fuel Performance and Design in BNFL’s Fuel Division, he spent a period with Westinghouse in Pittsburgh before returning to the UK and transferring to BNFL Research and Technology. He currently manages BNFL’s Advanced Fuels and Reactors projects, which range from the Westinghouse AP-series plants and the PBMR, to fast reactor systems. He serves on various international groups concerned with the development of advanced reactor systems, including the US DOE Generation-IV initiative, where he serves on the Gas-Cooled Reactor Group and is co-chair of the Fuels and Material Group. |
