FREELANCE WRITER, PLATTS ENERGY Currently a freelance writer and journalist, working mainly with Platts Energy, Tomorrow magazine, and the FT. He specialises on energy policy and climate change issues. He recently co-authored a Fabian Society report “At the Energy Crossroads: Policies for a Low Carbon Economy”. He spent a number of years as an energy and anti-nuclear campaigner with Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace International. He developed a global Fossil Free Energy Scenario while with Greenpeace. He spent several years as a lobbyist with the Energy Efficiency industry before heading up a charity, the International Institute for Energy Conservation (IIEC) carrying out practical efficiency projects in Eastern Europe and South Africa. He has a BSc in Geography, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies and is an Associate of the Institute for Personnel Management.
