Senior Lecturer in Politics, University of Newcastle
Educated at the Universities of Oxford, Hull and Manchester, Rod Hague was Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Politics Department at Newcastle University, 1969-2002. His major teaching and research interests are in American politics and comparative government. He is co-author with Martin Harrop of a standard text in worldwide use Comparative Government and Politics (Palgrave, 5th edition 2001). He has been Executive Director of the Applied Policy Sciences Unit at Newcastle since 1992 and in association with Rick Wylie, has undertaken research, consultancy and publication in the areas of policy-making and public attitudes. Publications with Rick Wylie include Risk and Values in Contemporary Britain (APSU/Westlakes Research Institute, 2000) and Governing through Networks : Interpersonal Relations in Policy Partnerships (APSU/Westlakes Research Institute, forthcoming 2004). |
