Colin Bayliss joined the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) in 1997 to finesse UKAEA's massive nuclear cleanup plans through the government's Department of Trade & Industry (DTI). He now is responsible for focusing UKAEA on the decommissioning challenges ahead as the cleanup program moves into the implementation phase with some one billion pounds (US $1.46 billion) worth of new waste plant construction and decommissioning work anticipated over the next 10-15 years. This program will dramatically increase UKAEA's project management workload, UKAEA said May 17. |
