Chairman of the NDA, Sir Anthony Cleaver, has advised the NDA Board that he will retire at the end of his three year period of appointment in July 2007.

Sir Anthony, the NDA’s founding chairman, said:

“I am enormously proud of the successful establishment of the NDA and its achievements in our first two years of operation. The NDA has come to the end of its start-up phase and this is an ideal time to hand over to someone who can provide continuity through the next stage of the NDA’s journey. Great progress has been made to date in getting to grips with our task and building a highly capable team, and I believe the NDA has a very strong platform from which to build and continue to deliver its challenging remit.”

The NDA Board has expressed its sincere thanks to Sir Anthony for his outstanding leadership and contribution.
