MPs say Nuclear Power is important to UK | Print |  E-mail
75% of MPs believe that Nuclear Power is important to maintaining uninterrupted electricity supply in the UK, a survey showed yesterday. 65% of MPs believe that Nuclear Power can help reach challenging carbon targets in the UK and 55% of MPs believe that Nuclear Power should be included in a balanced energy policy for the UK, with only 18% strongly opposed. The results, taken from a survey carried out by the BPRI Group (Business Planning and Research International), an independent research consultancy, demonstrate the views of a representative Political Opinion Panel consisting of 135 Members of Parliament.
