Government sells part of stake in BE |

The following is an extract from a written ministerial statement from the Rt. Hon. Alistair Darling MP regarding the government sale of a significant part of it's holding of shares in British Energy.
"On 30 May I announced that government intended to direct the NLF to sell part of it's interest in BE ... the sale process completed at 4.30pm on 31 May".
"A total of 450 million shares have been sold through an accelerated book build offering at a price of 520p per share, raising gross proceeds of approximately £2.34 billion".
