Franco British Nuclear Forum arrangements
The first meeting for the Franco British Nuclear Forum will be held in Paris on 29 November. The event will start around 12:00 with a ministerial launch, and move quickly to working groups in the afternoon.

The aims of the Forum are: to develop further existing relationships between French and British policy makers, regulators, industry and scientists; to develop collaboration on existing and new areas of mutual interest; and to draw more value from work being done in France and the UK both separately and collaboratively.

DTI are now considering membership and expect to agree an approach with the French in the next few days. They are looking at the subject areas for three working groups, which are likely to cover topics such as political environment, finance, skills and training, and regulation.

The DTI leads are Louise Robson and Andy Layton who are due to meet their French counterparts on 18 October to finalise event details.
