Construction licence granted for new Finnish reactor

The Finnish government has now granted the construction licence for Teollisuuden Voima Oy's (TVO) new nuclear power unit at Olkiluoto. The actual construction of the European Pressurised Water Reactor will start in the spring of this year and commercial operation is scheduled for 2009.
