BNIF Submits Views to Government Consultation on Energy Policy |

Last Friday, 13 September, the Government's four month consultation on the future of energy policy came to an end. One of the key issues on which the Government sought views was what needs to be done to keep the nuclear option open.
On behalf of the nuclear industry, BNIF prepared a detailed submission emphasising the valuable contribution that nuclear energy makes to Britain's security of energy supply and achievement of environmental objectives. The submission also highlights the measures that the Government and the industry will need to take to ensure that nuclear energy remains an essential part of Britain's future energy policy.
