NIA member company AMEC has made a £25.3 million bid for NNC, the nuclear services business and another NIA member. The bid has been accepted by NNC's shareholders (3i, BNFL and NNC management). AMEC are seeking to expand the nuclear side of their business as they believe that expansion of nuclear generation across the world is almost certain. With this in mind they have also recently purchased 49% of French firm Game Nucleaire. |
