Keith joined the Nuclear Industry Association in December 1995 from the DTI and in March 1997 became Head of Corporate Communications, accountable for the strategic direction of the Associations communications, public affairs, media relations and issue management programmes. He was appointed Chief Executive in September 2003.
During the 1980s Keith worked in the Department of Energy on the two major nuclear power station public inquiries into Sizewell B and Hinkley Point C.
In the early 1990s, he was Private Secretary for two years to Tony Baldry MP and David Heathcoat-Amory MP, Parliamentary Under Secretaries of State at the Department of Energy. During this period he was closely involved in policy formulation and decision making in the areas of nuclear power, coal, electricity generation and energy efficiency.
He was also Private Secretary to Robert Key MP, Minister at the newly-created Department of National Heritage. |
