NIA will be organising many events to promote the industry at this year's party conferences in September and October. This will include having a stand on behalf of the whole industry at this year's Labour party conference. We will also be hosting fringe meetings and receptions at all three political party and the TUC conferences.

NIA will be organising many events to promote the industry at this year's party conferences in September and October. This will include having a stand on behalf of the whole industry at this year's Labour party conference. We will also be hosting fringe meetings and receptions at all three political party and the TUC conferences.

At a critical time for the industry it is vital that we are able to put our case to leading politicians in order that we are not disadvantaged. The industry has some concerns over the progress of decommissioning which we need to publicise. In parallel with this the government has made it clear that it will shortly make a decision on whether to press ahead with building reactors to replace those currently closing. Several NIA member companies will be assisting in presenting the industry's case over the four weeks.

Industry Link will report back on our activities over the conference season in the next edition.
