As part of NIA's 2005/06 export programme we are planning to visit Bulgaria on 3-7 October 2005. The NIA visit will include a two centre visit from 3-4 October in Sofia to meet with ministry officials and for an evening reception and a visit to the Kozloduy site to meet with the operators and contractors.

This will provide an excellent opportunity to meet with Bulgarian ministry officials operating in the nuclear power industry, allowing members to present their company profiles and gain information on nuclear market opportunities in Bulgaria. A dinner will be held at the residence of the British Consul General on the evening of Monday 3 October.

On 5-7 October, the DTI are sponsoring an exhibition and conference on their 'Social Consequences' project at Kozloduy. It would be possible for NIA members to attend this if this area of work is of interest to them. The exhibition would comprise Bulgarian and Eastern European companies but not necessarily nuclear related ones.
