INBIS success in nuclear industry
INBIS Ltd, the UK based engineering consultancy group, have been awarded a £5m contract to supply UKAEA with a novel system for retrieval of Intermediate Level Waste from stores at Harwell so that it can be re-packaged. The contract involves the design, supply and commissioning of a 200 tonne retrieval machine. The project is a key part of the Harwell site restoration programme and will assist UKAEA in achieving their goal of reducing the overall cost of the clean-up programme to the UK taxpayer.

SEC win waste removal contract
Safety and Ecology Corporation Ltd, a Tyneside based environmental engineering and services company, has been awarded a multi-million pound contract to remove over 23,000 cubic metres of nuclear material from the Pacific Island of Kiritimati. Aside from the obvious environmental benefits accruing from the waste removal, the activities will also present training and employment opportunities for the local island population.
