The Nuclear Industry Association toasted the 100th addition to its membership at the parliamentary reception marking the eve of our annual conference, Energy Choices.
IJS Consultants, a Manchester based firm, which boasts staff growth this year of 350%, provides professional risk and safety management expertise to the nuclear and allied industries, with clients including UKAEA and British Energy.
NIA Chief Executive, Keith Parker, said, "We are very proud to welcome IJS Consultants to NIA. This is the largest the organisation has been since its inception in the early 1960s. We are especially delighted that our 100th member is such a thriving and dynamic company, representative of the increasing opportunities for young people across the UK nuclear industry."
IJS founders Ian Moore (Technical Director) and Jim Grace (Operations Director), attended our annual reception at the House of Commons Terrace Marquee, where they formally joined the trade association. "This is a good time to be involved in the nuclear industry," said Moore, "and NIA provides us with exactly the kind of resources we need. We're a growing business, constantly looking for new opportunities and associates - NIA encompasses the whole breadth of professions and is recognised and respected among all the key stakeholders."
