The Committee on Radioactive Waste Management, CoRWM, has compiled the "long list of options" for managing nuclear waste in the UK using a 'traffic light system' which separates the options into colour coded categories as a means of whittling them down to a workable shortlist.

Energy Sprouts in Brussels | Print |  E-mail
In November the All Party Parliamentary Group on Nuclear Energy spent 2 days in Brussels looking at how the energy issue is handled at EU level. The fourteen strong party met with industry representatives, politicians and officials over their two day visit which was timed to coincide with a hearing on security of energy supply in the European Parliament.

NIA welcomes new Chairman | Print |  E-mail
The NIA AGM appointed Philip Dewhurst, Group Director, Corporate Affairs of BNFL as our new Chairman on 1 December. As reported in the last edition of Industry Link, our previous Chairman Tony Cooper was appointed as a non-executive Director of the NDA in October this year and as a result announced his intention to resign as Chairman at this year's AGM.
