Staff changes | Print |  E-mail
Wednesday, 28 February 2007
After five years at the NIA Mirada Kirschel left the organisation at the end of December. Miranda has served in a variety of roles at the NIA latterly as Corporate Affairs Manager, where she worked primarily on public affairs issues and served as administrator to the All Party Group on Nuclear Energy. Miranda Kirschel, former Corporate Affairs Manager Miranda will be much missed both at the NIA and across the industry. She has been one of our best advocates and built a large network of support for the industry accross government as well as acting as one of our spokespeople. We wish her well in her new role as Public Affairs Manager with the Food and Drink Federation.

However with one departure comes one arrival. John McNamara who has been on part-time secondment to NIA for several months has now joined the staff permanently as our Head of Media and PR. John joins NIA from British Energy where he has been for the last ten years, most recently as Media Manager. John can be contacted on This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it or 020 7766 6646.

With these changes there will be a re-organisation within NIA. John McNamara will now be responsible for all PR functions, dealing with the media and public as well as publications and information provision. Public Affairs, dealing with politicians, civil servants and the UK and EU government processes, will be dealt with by Simon James. Further changes in staffing will follow and we are currently actively recruiting to new posts.
