Ruth Stanway
After five years as Media Relations Manager, Ruth Stanway left NIA at the end of March to join Amec. Ruth joined NIA from a career with FT Energy in which she specialised in energy issues in South America. She brought to her role with NIA an infectious energy, enthusiasm, creativity and strong-minded determination, and she was outstandingly successful in raising the profile of NIA and the nuclear industry generally with the print and broadcast media. Through Ruth's initiative, many people in NIA's member companies have benefited from media training and become effective advocates for the industry. Her friends and colleagues in NIA, throughout the industry and in the media wish her every good fortune in the future.

While NIA recruits a permanant replacement for Ruth, John McNamara has joined as Interim Media Manager on secondment from British Energy. He can be contacted on 020 7766 6646 or This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it
