Happy birthday Centronic On 1 October 2005, Centronic Ltd celebrated its 60th birthday. The company started life in south London in 1945 to manufacture electron tubes. Centronic is now a leading manufacturer of sensor solutions for photonic and ionising radiation, producing a comprehensive range of standard products that includes Silicon Photodiodes, Geiger-M�ller tubes, Neutron detectors, Vision Systems and instruments for UV Light measurements. Centronic now incorporates Solatell providing a range of spectroradiometer and radiometer instruments and Raditec offering a range of radiation detection and testing products.
With the foundations firmly set Centronic is now looking forward to another successful 60 years.
Carillion to build Sellafield store Support services and construction company Carillion has secured a £118 million contract with British Nuclear Group to construct a store at Sellafield, Cumbria, for materials arising from decommissioning.
