NIA wishes Adrian a Bon Voyage and all the best of luck in his future endeavours
Adrian Ham retires from NIA this month, to become a member of several advisory Boards, including the Washington based ICCF, and one associated with the nuclear industry - NICAB; also to spend a lot more time in France. Adrian has had three years as Chief Executive at NIA, after being Chief Economist at Nuclear Electric, and Director of overseas consultancy at British Energy, opening up the first contract in Kiev advising the Ukrainian Government on the creation of the energy giant 'Energoatom'. He also formed BE's first Canadian contacts.

Adrian was no stranger to politics nor to wider energy issues, having been Special Adviser to Chancellor of the Exchequer Denis Healey in the 1974 Labour Government, when world oil prices leapt 300% in twelve months. He also published a critical review of Whitehall mandarins 'Treasury Rules', and performed in a series of satirical revues at Labour Party conferences - the 'End of the Peers Shows'.

Whilst Adrian was at NIA it rebranded, presented industry points of view to the Government on energy, nuclear waste, the restructuring of the industry, and the attainment of greenhouse gas targets, In the same period its membership rose from 60 to over 80 companies.
