Producer of “IF… the lights go out
A barrister turned documentary film-maker, Dai began his television career at Thames TV, moving to the BBC Current Affairs department in 1989. There he made more than thirty current affairs programmes, most of them for Panorama. Since going freelance in 1995, he has made an eclectic range of documentaries, spanning human rights, the intelligence services and mental illness. He is best known as a producer of political history series. including The Fifty Years War: Israel and the Arabs and The Fall of Milosevic. He also produced and co-wrote the "If…The Lights Go Out" programme, which was a drama-documentary for BBC2.
