Amanda MacMillan joined the NIA as Member Services Manager in June 2006. Her main duties include maintaining relationships and developing communications with existing member companies and key stakeholders; recruitment of new members; arrangement of NIA working groups in liaison with the Business Development Manager and organising NIA events for members.

For the past 10 years, Amanda has worked for British Nuclear Group (a subsidiary of BNFL) at the Sellafield site in Cumbria. Most recently she has held positions in the Public Affairs department liaising with a variety of external and internal stakeholders; providing issue and risk management services; arranging events and developing communications for the various site projects and functions. Amanda also has experience as a radiological safety assessor and a technical officer; developing and supporting waste encapsulation techniques. Amanda has a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Environmental Studies from Sunderland University and has recently obtained a post graduate diploma in Public Relations from the Chartered Institute of Public Relations at Queen Margaret College University, Edinburgh. |
